Pancho’s DJ Academy was founded as a living tribute to the late Bernie "DJ BernieP" Perez aka Pancho, whose passion for music and DJing inspired generations. From father to son, Pancho passed down not only the technical skills of mixing, blending, and reading a crowd, but also the values of hard work, creativity, and community. Carrying that torch forward, his son—known today as DJ T.A.G.—created the academy to honor his father’s legacy and ensure the art of DJing continues to thrive.

For DJ T.A.G., music has been more than a career; it has been a way of life. The opportunities, experiences, and doors that opened through DJing all began with his father’s lessons. Now, through Pancho’s DJ Academy, he’s committed to giving that same gift back to others.

The academy is designed for all levels—whether you’re a beginner who has always dreamed of stepping behind the turntables, or a working DJ who wants to sharpen your skills and grow your craft. Students learn the essentials: BPM matching, blending, transitions, crowd engagement, equipment mastery, and building a professional DJ presence. But beyond the technical side, Pancho’s DJ Academy is about mentorship, confidence, and empowerment—helping students see DJing as both an art and an entrepreneurial path.

By training new DJs, the academy also creates opportunities for them to step into the local scene—spinning at private events, weddings, corporate functions, radio, clubs, and concerts.
