About DJ T.A.G.

Uriah “DJ T.A.G.” Perez grew up surrounded by music, rhythm, and the lessons of his father, Pancho — a DJ who passed down not just skills, but a legacy. “My dad taught me everything: how to blend, how to read a crowd, how to respect the craft,” T.A.G. reflects. That foundation shaped him into the artist and community leader he is today.

The name T.A.G. stands for Talented And Gifted — a title that goes beyond his stage name. It’s a philosophy. “I believe everyone has a talent or gift inside of them. Mine just happens to be music, but my goal is to create spaces where others can share theirs too,” he explains.

A Career Built on Stages Big & Small

DJ T.A.G. has been a fixture in the Central Valley and beyond for over a decade, building a résumé that speaks to his versatility and drive. He’s held residencies at some of the Valley’s most popular clubs, brought his sound to the airwaves through local radio shows, and shared stages with major recording artists. 

His career has included tour stops with both national acts and regional talent, earning him a reputation for delivering high-energy sets that connect with diverse audiences.

From opening sets at festivals to headlining nightlife events, T.A.G. has consistently proven his ability to adapt to any crowd. His mix of hip-hop, R&B, Latin, and dance music — blended with a DJ’s instinct for timing and flow — has made him a go-to name for promoters, event organizers, and fellow artists.

Music With Purpose

In the Central Valley, DJ T.A.G. has built a reputation not only for unforgettable sets, but for his dedication to using music as a tool for community. From weddings and festivals to late nights at Club 6-7, he brings a vibe that gets people moving — but for him, the music is just the beginning.

Deeply committed to his community, DJ T.A.G. is a driving force behind the Chance Dobbins Sr. Charity and its flagship program, Club 6-7, a dance club for individuals with special abilities. “Seeing the joy on their faces reminds me why I do this,” he says. “Music is for everyone.”

Teaching the Next Generation

Carrying on his father’s legacy, he launched Pancho’s DJ Academy, a program designed to teach the next generation how to DJ with skill, confidence, and purpose. For Tag, it’s not only about music — it’s about opportunity, discipline, and self-expression.

That vision has grown into T.A.G. Studios and the T.A.G. Team, where creators, vendors, and artists collaborate to produce professional-level events and productions. His goal is to build a hub in the Central Valley that showcases talent, uplifts voices, and inspires community growth.
